Нет, баржи этого проекта работали с толкачами или, чаще, с классическими буксирами методом толкания.

Изначально строили в чисто буксирном варианте с крупной надстройкой и
рулевой рубкой.Валиковый привод вертел два больших руля.
Переоборудование таких барж под толкание было сделано изначально
без демонтажа рулей(толкали вверх,вниз на буксире).
Такой тип с кринолином(усиленным) толкали ШП.
Эксплуатация выявила недостатки,громоздкость,слабость(кринолина),
неудобства и прочее.
Началось строительство барж под толкание. Рулевой привод,рули,
кринолин,надстройку упростили,сделали дежурное помещение.
