Много лет работает на пригородных линиях близ Камня-на-Оби: Камень - Островная, Камень - Дресвянка. Приблизительно в 1990 г. проеведен капитальный ремонт, в ходе которого слегка изменена форма кормовой части. В 1970-е, начале 80-х гг., когда интенсивность пригородного сообщения была гораздо выше, вместе с МО-55 работал "Жемчуг" - судно аналогичного проекта.
