20 мая 1999 года около 4 часов утра в акватории ремонтной базы затона Новинки в результате поджога произошло возгорание теплохода Москва-58. Неизвестные злоумышленники подожгли палубные надстройки в носовой части судна. Из-за сильного бокового ветра огонь перекинулся на соседний теплоход Москва-31. Прибывшие на место происшествия пожарные быстро потушили пламя. Общая площадь пожара составила около 80 м²
