Проект этого подводного аппарата был разработан в 1985 году в Опытном Конструкторском Бюро Специальных Технических Средств, по заказу Министерства рыбного хозяйства СССР. Были построены два аппарата для севастопольской базы "Гидронавт". Оба аппарата выполняли работы на Чёрном море в интересах Министерства рыбного хозяйства СССР.
