В мае 1944 года повреждён авиацией на подходе к Гавру. Поставлен в ремонт. 31 июля стоявший в доке корабль получил ещё шесть прямых попаданий тяжелыми бомбами и был полностью разрушен. В 1945—1946 гг. обломки разобрали на месте французские рабочие.
