Рыболовный траулер "Fro" водоизмещением 250 т, имел длину 30,98 м, ширину 7,03 м и осадку 3,36 м, 1 дизель мощностью 130 л.с. обеспечивал скорость хода в 9,0 уз.Экипаж 20 человек. В 1945 году захвачен советскими войсками, как трофейное судно и передан в состав управления «Главсеврыбпром» Министерства рыбной промышленности как СРТ «НИКОЛАЙ КНИПОВИЧ». 24 декабря 1948 года погиб у Каниного Носа, Баренцево море.
