До 27 сентября 1907 года классифицировался как минный крейсер. Прошел капитальный ремонт корпуса в 1909-1910 годах на заводе АО "Крейтон и К°" в Санкт-Петербурге с заменой трубок на всех котлах и перевооружением. В 1914-1915 годах на Сандвикском заводе отремонтированы главные механизмы. 8.08.1916 при стоянке на якоре у южного берега Ирбенского пролива подорвался на мине заграждения и затонул в течении 7 минут.
