В октябре 1976 года на реке Витим судно получило повреждения топливной цистерны, ликвидировать поломку на месте не удалось и после попыток ремонта судно оставили на зимовку. Во время весеннего ледохода 1977 года судно затонуло на 58-м километре реки Витим из-за повреждений корпуса льдом.
