Пассажирский теплоход, построен в 1928 г. (Гамбург, Германия) по заказу СССР. 23.06.1941 г. вошел в состав ЧФ в качестве санитарного транспорта. 23.12.1941 г. в связи с износом дизелей переформирован в несамоходную плавбазу. Использовался для базирования подводных лодок типа "М". После войны отремонтирован с заменой дизелей и находился в составе Черноморского пароходства до 1960-х гг.
