01.01.1979 г. во время буксировки ТР "Остров Сибирякова" из Гетеборга в Ригу в штормовую погоду был выброшен вместе с ТР-ом на камни близ шведского города Симрисхамн. ТР сняли через 20 дней, буксир позднее, но его восстановление признали нецелесообразным. Участвовавший в данной буксировке МБ "Вилнис" избежал аварии.
