Судно названо в честь знаменитого футболиста и хоккеиста, заслуженного мастера спорта, заслуженного тренера СССР, олимпийского чемпиона Всеволода Михайловича Боброва (01.12.1922 -01.07.1979), единственного спортсмена в истории Олимпийских игр, который был капитаном национальной сборной страны и в том, и в другом виде спорта.
