На территории АО «Строительно-судоремонтный завод имени С. Н. Бутякова» (г. Звенигово, Марий Эл) 2 августа 2018 года во время выгрузки теплохода "Волго-дон 5005" матрос-моторист заводского плавкрана «СК-3» попал под противовес крана и получил тяжелое ранение. По имеющейся в распоряжении ИАА «ПортНьюс» информации Государственного морского спасательно-координационного центра Росморречфлота, потерпевший был отправлен в больницу, где во время операции скончался.
