Паромы проекта 603 строили в Краснослободске. Красноармейский СРЗ находится в черте г. Волгограда.Краснослободск небольшой городок на левом берегу Волги ,напротив центральной набережной г. Волгограда.

В том году он работал на Каме в Икском устье, возил бензовозы на нефтяной остров. Я на нём прокатился в тот день, 26 апреля, когда он начал там работать.
