Построен в Херсоне. В 1967г. доставлен в Клайпеду ледоколом "Юрий Лисянский" и буксиром-спасателем "Петр Болотников". В период 1968-2004гг. в доке отремонтировано 2200 плавсредств.
В начале 2008 г. продан в Намибию, куда прибыл в мае, и начал работать в августе.
