17 августа 2013 года в 13 часов 55 минут местного времени на реке Иртыш в районе поселка Новая станица Омской области, из-за ошибки судоводителя произошло столкновение судна Полесье-8 с бункерной баржой Б-908, ведомой буксиром РТ-817.
В результате столкновения погибли 6 пассажиров. Полесье-8 получило серьёзные повреждения корпуса.
