Входила в состав 472-й дивизиона морских судов обеспечения (ДНМСО) КЧФ. До 1992 года плавучая мастерская "ПМ-26" совершила несколько десятков выходов на обеспечение подводных лодок, кораблей и судов Военно-морского флота в Атлантический и Индийский океаны, Средиземное и Красное моря.
30.09.1994 г. плавмастерская была передана из состава ( бригады судов обеспечения ЧФ в состав 37-й бригады спасательных судов ЧФ, с задачей поддержания технической готовности спасательных судов УПАСР ЧФ. В марте 1998 года плавучая мастерская была переведена на гражданский штат.
09.07.1998 г. плавмастерская была переведена в класс рейдовые специальные суда, подкласс рейдовая плавучая судоремонтная мастерская.
В этом качестве плавмастерская участвовала в восстановительном ремонте спасательного судна "Михаил Рудницкий", в переоборудовании морского буксирного судна "МБ-36" в спасательное судно "СБ-36", в различных ремонтах кораблей и судов Черноморского флота. Списана в 2009 г.
В 9.09.2014 года во время учений БРАВ и МА КЧФ потоплена в качестве мишени.
