В 1981 и 1998 годах завоевал призы ГК ВМФ по зенитной подготовке (в составе КУГ), а в 1998 году – приз ГК ВМФ по противолодочной подготовке (в составе КПУГ).
В 1984 году участвовал в оперативном КШУ ВМФ "Атлантика-84".
С 01.07.1988 г. по 21.01.1992 г. прошёл капитальный ремонт на ССЗ "Янтарь".
После исключения из состава военного флота и разоружения был переоборудован по проекту 1135МК в торгово-развлекательный комплекс и переведён в Москву.
С момента прибытия в Москву в конце 2003 года по назначению не эксплуатировался, находился в длительном отстое у причала Портхладокомбината Северного речного порта.
В марте-апреле 2016 г. началась подготовка к утилизации, срезана часть надстройки.
25 апреля 2016 г. был отбуксирован в Кимры, а затем в июле 2016 г. на окончательную разделку в Белый Городок.
