Сильный шторм обрушился на несколько провинций Турции, особенно в регионах Эгейского и Мраморного моря, а пролив Босфор был закрыт для движения судов из-за плохих погодных условий. Сообщается, что порывы ветра достигали 130 км/ч.
Первой жертвой шторма стал паром AYIS 1, затонувший в Стамбуле.
Второй - контейнеровоз MSC ALICANTE, который врезался в причал в порту Амбарли.
