Юрьевецкий клуб юных моряков образован в 1987 году. Примерно в 1988-89 годах ГП Волжское объединённое речное пароходство МРФ РСФСР передало баржу М-194 на баланс Юрьевецкому КЮМ "Мечта". Баржа М-194 испльзовалась и используется, как база Юрьевецкого КЮМ "Мечта". В январе 2012 года Юрьевецкий КЮМ "Мечта" преобразован в Детский морской центр "Мечта" г. Юрьевец.
