В 2001–2002 году судно прошло капитальный ремонт на заводе "Алмаз", где было построено. Были заменены двигатели, установлено современное навигационное оборудование, а также улучшена комфортабельность за счет более эффективного шумоподавления и снижения вибрации. Теперь катер может развивать скорость 17 узлов (30 км/ч), выдерживает волнение до 5 баллов. Было полностью заменено внутреннее убранство судна: потолки сделали натяжными из французского зеркального покрытия, двери стеклянные, раздвижные. При отделке яхты использована вишня, черешня, вьетнамский тик, гондурасский махагон. Диваны обиты белой натуральной кожей, стулья обтянуты тканями светлых тонов. Банкетный зал рассчитан на 10 человек и оборудован системой кондиционирования; потолок зеркальный, на полу ковер, на стенах висят картины на морские темы. При Брежневе в банкетной висел таджикский ковер ручной работы, изображавший герб и флаги СССР. Вместо него теперь повесили нейтральный пейзажный триптих из запасника Русского музея.
После передачи ФГУ «Администрация морского порта Новороссийск» модернизирован по пр.PV07 на верфи HIDRODINAMIK Gemi San ve Ticaret A.S. в Тузле.
