В 1996 году потерпел аварию на Ладожском озере при подходе к острову Валаам. До 1998 года не эксплуатировался. В 2001 году произошёл пожар в машинном отделении во время стоянки в Санкт-Петербурге. В процессе тушения теплоход затонул. С 2001 по 2004 год находился на отстое в г. Казань
