Суда-бонопостановщики проекта RBT2006 предназначены для аварийно-спасательных работ в пятне нефти/нефтепродуктов с температурой вспышки более 60 °С для выполнения следующих операций:
⚓ локализация разлива нефти или нефтепродуктов с помощью постановки боновых заграждений и построения нефтесборных ордеров,
⚓ транспортировка средств ликвидации разливов нефти или нефтепродуктов,
⚓ поиск и подъем с воды людей.

Генеральным проектантом бонопостановочных судов проекта RBT2006 является компания «Р-Флот. Дизайн».
