Тральщики второй серии (MMS II) имели длину 126 фт. (38.5м) в отличие от первой серии (MMS I) длиной 105 фт.
Всего построено 90 кораблей для ВМС Великобритании и 16 для ВМС Канады которые ушли в СССР.

Из 24-х кораблей планировавшихся к постройке на верфях восточного побережья Канады для Канадских ВМС, только 16 были заказаны, из них только 10 были закончены и все переданы СССР. Остальные 3 достроены как гражданские суда, и 3 не заложены вовсе.
