Строился в разборном виде на заводе "Ленинская Кузница" (УССР, г. Киев) для дальнейшей перевозки к месту работы.

4 парохода доставлены Северным морским путём на р. Лену, где были достроены на Жигаловской и Киренской судоверфях.
