После приемки и перегона буксира в СССР, судно было передано в ВМФ и зачислено в КТОФ. В течение примерно 10 лет МБ-154 трудился в Советской Гавани и 1968-1970 годах был передан в 171 ОБрПЛ с базированием в бухте Нагаева, воинская часть – 20964 (9 км). В бригаде буксир проработал до конца своей жизни. Буксир был списан весной 1988 года, отбуксирован на отмель у Каменного карьера и порезан на металл. http://www.kolymastory.ru/glavnaya/171-o...ta-854/
