01.10.1927г. после модернизации на Гданьской судоверфи, «Искра» стала учебным судном военно-морских училищ Польши и несла свою службу до конца 1977 г., за исключением восьмилетнего перерыва в период второй мировой войны. В те годы она в составе военно-морского флота Великобритании служила [под названием «Пигми» («Pigmy»)] базой для английских торпедных катеров в Гибралтаре. На ее замену, в 1982г. для польских ВМС была построена новая — ISKRA II

Final fate:
01.10.1927 by the Gdansk Shipyard converted to training sailing ship for the Polish Navy.
14.10.1928 during heavy weather in English Channel collided with the Norwegian s.s. "Gray County". The "Iskra" could be kept floating and was taken to Hull by a tugboat. Repaired and resumed on 09.05.1929.
1932 new main engine: tew cyl 260 Pk Nohab-Ursus Type (x).
18.10.1939 because of the outbreak of WW II laid up in Port Lyautey, (France).
04.07.1940 back in service and departed for Gibraltar. The ship was laid up on arrival.
1940 "Pigmy" from the English Navy.
29.11.1940 put into use by the English Navy as accommodation ship for torpedo makers.
In 1947 "Iskra" from the Polish Government, Poland.
1948 put back into service as training sailing ship for the Polish Navy.
On 26.11.1977 the ship was taken out of service and laid up. Scrapped in 1978.
