Строился как грузопассажирское судно для Турции, был захвачен в начале войны и вошёл в состав Кригсмарине как учебный корабль. Оснащенный восемью торпедными аппаратами, использовался для подготовки торпедистов для боевых надводных кораблей. В 1945 году корабль использовался для эвакуации военнослужащих и гражданского населения из Восточной Пруссии. Подорвался на мине северо-западнее Фемарне 14 марта 1945 года и затонул.
