Колёсный паровой фрегат. Водоизмещение 1507 т. На момент постройки был самым большим судном, построенным в Финляндии. После постройки «Рюрик» служил в эскорте российской Императорской яхты на Балтийском флоте. Во время Крымской войны участвовал в обороне Кронштадта.
