По Северному морскому пути переведён на Тихий океан, вооружён (2×130 мм, 4×76 мм пулемёты) и переоборудован в минный заградитель, 11.10.1937 г. вошёл в состав ТОФ. По прямому назначению не использовался. 27.09.1945 г. разоружён и переформирован в гидрографическое судно.
