Затоплен в Шанхае 8 сентября 1943 г. итальянским экипажем. Поднят японскими военными в 1944 г., и снова потоплен 8 августа в результате бомбардировки. Корабль был снова поднят, переименован в «Kotobuku Maru» и переоборудован в военный транспорт. Потоплен во время авианалета ВВС США в июле 1945 г., окончательно утилизировано в 1949 г.
