01.08.1941 года теплоход был мобилизован, переоборудован в самоходную зенитную батарею ПЗБ-2 и 03.08.1941 года вошел в состав Каспийской флотилии. 02.11.1943 года ПЗБ-2 разоружили и переформировали в транспорт “Меридиан”.
