Изначально фактическим портом приписки был Тольяттинский судоремонтно-механический завод (ТСРМЗ). Ввиду правил и требований морского регистра для выхода в море был приписан по документам к Астрахани.
Первый старший механик Солкин С.А. работавший на нем с момента строительства и принимавший судно от изготовителя, впоследствии получил Героя Социалистического труда.
