Включён в состав КЧФ ВМФ СССР: 28.11.1973 г.
20.08.2011 на корабле стоявшем в бухте Троицкая в торжественной обстановке был спущен флаг ВМФ.
6 марта 2014 года был затоплен на входе в бухту Донузлав.
07 сентября 2014 года был поднят и отбуксирован на отмель на озере Донузлав в районе поселка Новоозерное, где и находится в полузатопленном состоянии (2025г.)
