15 июня 2008 года на реке Амур возле поселка Нижние Халбы Комсомольского района сел на мель теплоход Метеор-251. На борту находились 97 строителей Комсомольского мостоотряда №26, направлявшихся на работы в Софийск и пять членов экипажа. В результате происшествия 4 человека получили повреждения лёгкой степени тяжести и 2 человека были доставлены в больницу с повреждениями средней степени тяжести. Эвакуацию пассажиров с аварийного судна осуществил резервный теплоход Метеор-233.
