В 1996 — 2003 годах носил имя в честь Братьев Шамариных (Андрея, Николая, Бориса и Владимира) — выдающихся изобретателей и рационализаторов, внёсших большой вклад в победу СССР в Великой Отечественной войне и послевоенное развитие промышленности.
