17.04.2021г. танкер вышел из Мурманска в Алиагу на буксире Сhristos XXIV для утилизации. 3 мая (около 21:40 по местн.) в проливе Ла-Манш при встречном ветре порывами более 30 м/с порвался буксирный трос, буксиру не удалось взять под контроль дрейфующее судно. На следующий день в 18:00 французская береговая охрана начала спасательную операцию. Аварийная партия высадилась с вертолета на танкер, а французский спасатель 'Abeille Liberté завел буксир и отвел танкер в залив, затем в порт Гавр.
