Около 2 км/ч. Сейчас больше. Воды в Дону много. Уже много лет не было такого, чтобы Цимла всю навигацию сбрасывала по 450-550 кубов/сек + 150 кубов Северский Донец. Выше Ростова скорость течения до 3.5-4 км/ч на перекатах и 2.5км/ч на плёсах. Это между Кочетовским гидроузлом и Ростовом.
