Скорее всего дно теплохода осматривали, хоть и судно не в эксплуатации.
Лучше уж поднять теплоход и проверить все, чем потом его поднимать со дна, когда он утонет, платить штрафы, расходы на подъём...

ИМХО Вообще конечно идиотизм - бесконечно ремонтировать 50 летние корабли, безусловно красивые, но от этого не ставшие новее. Хорошо бы программу утилизации для судов тоже придумать - загрузит судостроение заказами и перестанем ходить на хламе.
