Построен на верфи Tod and MacGregor, Глазго (https://fleetphoto.ru/entities/7993/), для компании Inman Line. В 1884 продан французским владельцам, которые переоборудовали его в грузовое судно Tonquin. Затонул 4 марта 1885 у берегов Малаги (Испания) после столкновения с пароходом Maurice et Réunion, в результате чего погибли капитан и 23 человека из 68 членов экипажа.
