Чем ниже, тем, наоборот, неудобнее смотреть. Дело обычно в верхнем габарите (правда, актуально ли это для Новосибирска?)

Вот и я обэтом. Габарит несильно занижается - фальштруба остается.
Ушакова курочили для прохода под низкими московскими мостами и максимально срезали сверху.

Одна из причин, действительно, верхний габарит, но она не является основополагающей.
Нам нужен был максимально большой солярий на верху, плюс хотели получить новый вид теплохода.
Ввиду замены главных и вспомогательных дизелей, а так же системы ДАУ,всей навигации, ГРЩ и кабельных линии, решили перенести рубку вниз.
