В 1988 году началось переоборудование салонов судна в каютный вариант. Вместо 123 сидячих мест были сделаны 50 кают минимальных размеров со спальными местами. В 1990 году судно работало на экспериментальном рейсовом маршруте Углич — Астрахань.
