Компания Genting заказала пару круизных лайнеров в мае 2016 года. На момент заказа проект судна не был готов, поэтому строительство началось только в марте 2018г. В связи с пандемией COVID-19 строительство остановилось в 2020 году, а в январе 2022 года верфь-строитель в Висмаре обанкротилась. Летом 2022 года первое судно стоит на верфи с готовностью 80%, рассматривается вопрос о его утилизации. Второй корпус планируется утилизировать.
