Во время Великой Отечественной войны участвовал в обороне Одессы. 16.10.1941 г. в числе последних кораблей ЧФ ушел из Одесского порта. В ноябре 1941 г. участвовал в эвакуации войск Красной Армии с Керченского п-ва. В 1942 — 1943 гг. работал в портах Кавказа. 14.04.1943 г. во время шторма затонул в б. Геленджик. В 1945 г. поднят, отремонтирован и возвращен в состав судов обеспечения ЧФ. В 1970-х гг. выведен из эксплуатации и разделан на металл.
