На пути в район промысла из порта Находка на РТМ "Боксит" решили выровнять крен перекачкой топлива. После переполнения переливного танка топливо хлынуло в машинное отделение и попало на работающий сепаратор, после чего воспламенилось. Около половины двенадцатого дня моторист заметил огонь. Была объявлена общесудовая тревога. Машинное отделение пришлось покинуть из-за задымления. Оно было загерметизировано, после чего активировали систему углекислотного пожаротушения и к 15.30 пожар был потушен. Траулер отбуксировали в порт для ремонта.
