Что бы при толкании ледокольной приставки ему в корму упирался другой ОТА и тогда тяги хватит чтобы приставка выезжала на лёд и колола его, сделано это было ещё когда он и остальные семь ОТА принадлежали Московскому Речному Пароходству. Примерно так http://fleetphoto.ru/photo/196805/?vid=28642
