Сообщение о том, что сухогруз «Волго-Балт-232», следовавший по маршруту порт Астрахань — порт Каспиан, Исламская Республика Иран, (груз 2 947 тонн кукурузы),сел на мель на ВКМСК, поступило в оперативную дежурную смену ГУ МЧС по Астраханской области утром 15 октября 2023 года. В 20 часов 06 мин по мск сухогруз «Волго-Балт-232» снялся с мели при помощи буксира Норд и последовал в порт назначения.
