Специально для краболовов серии КСП01 Невское проектно-конструкторское бюро разработало разъёмную конструкцию плавучего дока с возможностью установки перевозимого судна на кильблоки. С ее помощью конструкторы решили и проблему прохода «Вайгача» через ограниченные по размерам шлюзы: предложили инновационный способ завода судна в плавучий док.
Док разъединяется на два блока, носовой и кормовой, они притапливаются на максимальную осадку. Судно кормой вперёд заводится в носовой блок, затем к судну подводится кормовая часть дока. Стыковка обоих блоков происходит специально разработанным сцепным устройством. После стыковки вода откачивается и происходит всплытие до рабочей осадки.
Кстати, разъемный плавучий док – многоразового использования. Уникальную конструкцию (в случае необходимости) смогут применить для транспортировки и других краболовов проекта КСП01
