Теплоход построен в 1968 году в г. Измаил. Проект называется СЧС (средний черноморский сейнер), до 1982 года работал в Черном море. В 1983 году был пригнан в Москву и 7 лет простоял у причала. В 2000 году был приобретен нынешними владельцами и прошел полную реконструкцию и модернизацию. В 2005 году была осуществлена перестройка надстройки теплохода и замена внутренней отделки. Весной 2006 был произведен ремонт ходовой части на слипе в Белом городке на судоверфи.
На СЧС стоит двигатель 3Д6 мощностью в 150 л.с., он развивает крейсерскую скорость 20 км/ч. Длина по палубе составляет 28 метров, ширина 5,6 метров, водоизмещение 78 тонн, общий вес 130 тонн.
