2003 год — участник учений "Индра-2003" в Индийском океане. Здесь впервые после распада СССР выполнил пуск ракетой главным ракетным комплексом.
2008 год — участник операции по "Принуждению Грузии к миру".
2010 год — участник ОСУ "Восток-2010".
2012 год — участник СКШУ "Кавказ-2012".
2014 год — участник операции обеспечения безопасности проведения Олимпийских игр в Сочи.
2014 год — участник операции по "Возвращению Крыма в состав РФ".
2015 год — участник операции в Сирии.
С 22.07.2016 присвоен орден Нахимова. Является единственным орденоносным кораблем в составе современного КЧФ.

Впервые этот крейсер я встретил в Кольском заливе летом 1983 года, потом в Североморске увидел матросов с аббревиатурой ЧФ на бесках, от них и узнал, что корабль после завода пришел испытывать своё оружие на Новой Земле.
