От гостиницы "Украина" действует круглогодичная линия компании "Рэдиссон-Ройал" на вот таких теплоходах: http://fleetphoto.ru/photo/83002/
А Рейдовый, насколько я знаю, предназначен для подготовки им фарватера во льду. Правда, неясно зачем он ходил 5 января - река абсолютно чиста ото льда.

Наверное, "так положено". Например, 23.12.13 Барс следовал от Лужнецкой набережной вниз по течению в сопровождении т/х "Портовый-8", хотя льда в декабре 2013 на Москве-реке не было ни в р-не Фрунзенской набережной, ни в р-не Южного речного порта; возможно, Барс пошёл на слипование в Нагатино, но подтвердить или опровергнуть не получилось.
